Aging
Today I turned 23 years old. This last year has brought a lot of change to my life. Last summer I spent a month in China and gain some wisdom and trust. As soon as I got back I asked Jane to marry me and got engaged. I also started to notice that my body is aging. My metabolism finally started slowing down and I have noticed a slight decrease in my general health. This next year brings more big changes. In less then 3 months I will be graduating college, a month and a half later I will be getting married, and somewhere in there I am moving to Rhode Island. Though 23 isn't old, I think it is save to say that I have started "aging." While the thought of aging is a little scary there are also great things that come with it. Such as marriage, children, new friends, knowledge, and greater wisdom. This is the lesson that I have started to learn over the last year and that I hope I will continue to embrace as I start aging in earnest. Aging is to be embraced, not rushed into like most children try to, but excepted as part of God's plan both the hardships and joys. And when aging finally stops, we won't be old :).
