So, I thought I would write a life update for those of you who would like to know what Jane and I are up to these days.
I am currently working as an HVACR engineering in Providence. My office is a convenient 2.5 miles from home, so I get to bike to work, yay! I have been learning a lot of new stuff which is always fun and I am excited about the possibilities that this job has for the future. Jane is currently working as an inclusion specialist at a preschool, helping special needs children adapt to the classroom. Also, Jane just became a Pampered Chef consultant which is very fun.
Together we have been leading a college and young adult fellowship (CYAF) since January at our church, which is the Chinese Christian Church of Rhode Island. It has been both fun and stressful, but overall very good. We are also on one of the worship teams, on which Jane sings and plays keyboard and I play bass and pretend to sing :). Along the lines of serving, our goal is to serve God overseas eventually. As to the time frame of that, it is largely dependent on how quickly we can pay off our college loans.
We are living in a three bedroom apartment on the first floor of a two family house. If you are ever in the area, let us know and feel free to stop by. Also there are a lot of great bike paths around us and we have enjoyed getting to ride on them together.
